Captain
Russ L'HommeDieu
Captain Russ is a US Coast Guard licensed Captain with 30 years experience sailing the waters of Eastern Long Island. As a direct descendant of Captain Nathaniel Sylvester (the original owner of Shelter Island), his family has been sailing Long Island waters for over 370 years. He is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with experience in adaptive sailing and kayaking. He is an avid kayaker and is one of the few people who have successfully completed a solo 270-mile circumnavigation of Long Island by kayak. He is also a certified PADI rescue diver.
First Mate
Karen L'HommeDieu
Karen came to sailing by marriage but, took to it very quickly.
In addition to be an able-bodied sailor she is also a world-class vegan chef and Yoga teacher. Karen's family has also been on the East End for over 300 years. Karen is also a PADI certified diver and loves to paddleboard.

Tuck the Wonderdog
Hi I'm Tuck. I keep watch over my people and any other people that happen to be on my boat. I am super friendly and I know a lot about sailing. I can climb ladders and pull lines when needed. I especially like being on deck when the wind makes my ears flap.
